インデザイン（InDesign）に動画が貼れるようになっていた

いやぁ。進化したもんです。
そのうち、EPSファイルなくなるんじゃないですかねぇ。

なんと、インデザインCS3では動画が張り込みできます。
そして、その1カットを印刷できるということです。
なんか、すばらしい機能のように思えますがちょっと考えてみてください。
はて？　印刷物に動画って。。

何はともあれ、とりあえず張り込み方法を説明いたします。

って言っても、何のことはない画像と一緒です。

「ファイル」→「配置」（もしくはショートカットで「Ctrl」＋「D」）でファイルを選びます。
このとき、動画ファイル「QuickTime（mov）、AVI、MPEG、SWF」が張り込めます。
張り込んだ後は、動画の上でダブルクリックをして、
「オプション」の「ポスター」を「ムービーフレームをポスターに選択」
にして印刷時に使いたいカットを選んで「OK」→「OK」。
以上で印刷用の画像も設定できます。

さて、こんなことをしても印刷するだけではまったく意味がありません。
むしろ、動画のワンカットを印刷しているのでデジタルとはいえ画質は落ちます。
では、何でこんな機能がついているのか？　答えはPDFファイルです。
CS3についている「Acrobat 9」からPDF上で動画再生ができるようになりました。
最近では紙媒体よりもデジタル媒体を重視するところも増えてきて、
実際、大学の論文なんかでも動画入りPDFが使われ始めています。

以下、インデザインCS3で動画再生のできるPDFの書き出し方です。

「ファイル」→「PDF書き出しプリセット」→「最小ファイルサイズ」→場所、ファイル名を選んで「保存」
「Adobe PDFを書き出し」ウインドウが出るので「一般」タグをクリックし「読み込み」にある「インタラクティブ」をチェック。
「マルチメディア」を「すべてを埋め込み」にして「書き出し」

すると、PDFファイルを開いた状態で、動画ファイルをクリックするとPDF上で動画が再生できるようになります。

なお、以上の作業には全てApple社のQuickTime 6.0以上が必要です。
iPod関係のツールと一緒に入れておきましょう（笑）
注）iPod関係のツールは動画入りPDFの書き出しには直接関係ありません。
